Another friend engaged... c my life?

A friend of mine tweeted a couple of days ago "omg another friend of mine is engaged", i replied saying awww that's awesome, she came back with why?Ii was shocked by this reply but at the same time I knew exactly what was in her mind.
I knew in her mind she was thinking another mate of hers engaged and on the road to being Mrs Blank, and yet she is still single, of course i cautioned her and told her everyone's time is different.

My point is just because we females are at a certain age and Nigerian doesn't mean we have to start searching like hungry rats looking for cheese. You should keep an open mind as a single gal but i don't buy the idea of females jumping from one event to the other solely for the purpose of finding a mate, countless blind dates, numerous registration to dating sites, what ever happened to having fun, meeting people randomly and such.

I do understand the reason why some ladies go to all this length to find a mate, you thinking oh my, my biological clock is ticking, my parents expect this and that of me and so on, but seriously at what point did it become ok to turn your back on other issues in your life all in the name of finding a partner.

Instead of devoting all the free time you have to finding a partner or worrying about not finding a partner, why don't you take that time to take care of yourself, understand tolerate and love you and those around you ( trust me it ll come in handy when you have your own to care for).
Another thing that bothers me about some of us ladies is that we place expectations on future partners that we ourselves cant live upto, i don't understand how you want a man that has his life together when your own life and personal affairs is in shambles. Using that numerous free time you have to get your life together is one of the best thing you can do for yourself (nothing is more sexy than a woman who has her life together).

For those who are wondering
Yes i am a female (duh right)
Yes i am Unmarried
Yes i am Nigerian
Yes i in my twenties
Yes i am a college graduate
Yes my parents are beginning to worry a little (lol)
And yes i can wait for Mr right (lol)

But No i am not desperate
No i am not in a hurry
No i am not overly sensitive,or independent
No i am not too forward ( that might be debatable)

All this due to the fact that i know that the Lord's time is the best, i am not one to hurry a process, i know everything will happen in due time. ladies have fun, do things you want to do, dont be stopped by society's boundaries, basically do you and live life to the fullest, don't let anything hold you back because time waits for no man or woman and life is short.
Live a lot ladies
