it all started as an innocent friendship,
they met, they talked,
she was the leader of the pack, he was a pack, he followed
she led like the lioness that she is
he was awed by her leadership
drawn by her presence
cos suddenly he came around often
they hung, they chatted, they laughed, they talked, they sang, they danced
all this with a growing feeling deep inside, neither she nor he noticed
both oblivious to that which was bent on happening between them
but there was one who knew, and there was another
and yet another, it seems all knew but two involved
she jumps he catches, he cries she kisses away his tears
his wrong she rights him and when she is aggravated he calms her
a day came and realization hits, like a thunderstorm in the dead of the night
it hits so hard it hurt, a SWEET sting to the heart
sending sparks of current through their entire being
something had been switched on deep within them
something so splendid words can't describe
and so two became one, joined by the force
the force of attraction that cant be denied when felt
the good was there but so was the bad
she demanded, he couldn't give enough,
she pulled and pulled but he held back,
back and forth like a tug of war
and then came the clash
there was the thunderstorm again but this time it was bad
roaring like a hungry tiger ready to feast on its prey
busting in, devouring everything in its part
it broke, shattered and destroyed one
now one has become two again
broken and hurt, separated from what they felt was forever
saying i guess it wasn't meant to be,
back to back walking away into far far away lands
separated not only by miles but by realization
realization of the destruction of what could have been
time did it's thing, passing slowly it seems
the two secretly wondering what the other was upto
i cant take it anymore he thouGht, if only a word from her
maybe just maybe it will become easier
i shouldnt have done that he said to her
rash decision he said, momentary lapse of judgment he claimed
but wait nothing can be done, you ask why
he is one with another permanently
joined together in holy matrimony
once again they thought i GUESS IT WAS'T MEANT TO BE
