prideful one

so i saw this video and u guessed it, it inspired me to write a note. its amazing one can be so poor at writing papers but yet have so much to say.

so back to the videos RIP BLACK AMERICA, now all i have to say to that is wow. i Know there are women out there who disagree to what that Black man said, but the fact is there is so much truth in what he is saying, so much soo that it hits right to home for me not because i act that way but because i have seen many friends become the women he is talking about in his video.

Let me start analyzing this
first of all being independent is not a sin, but women in general need to understand that admitting u need a man does not mean relinquishing your whole entire life and being to him, it doesn't mean you have become a door mat and neither does it mean you are a fool. All it means is that you are accepting your role as a caregiver, and we all know you cant really be a caregiver if you don't have anyone to care for.

in the video the man said something about black women blaming black men for their problems, this is very true. i see people everyday saying things like he is a no good two timing negro, i think to myself you knew that in the first place but u still went ahead and suck with him. seriously we black women need to start taking responsibilities for our actions and stop blaming black men.

there is strength in a family, not just a family but a strong loving family. all this bull about i dont need a man needs to stop, i have said it before so many times myself and i realize its just childish talk. Yes i am admitting now i do need a man, and i am woman enough to know that i am not a fool for admitting that. My bible tells me a man shall leave his father's house to be with his wife, meaning you don't live with your parents forever and you sure are not to live with yourself forever either.

My definition of a strong black woman
A strong black woman is one who can admit she needs a man, a woman who knows the importance of a family, a woman who cherishes respect (the so called twisted independence of now), a woman who knows the man is the head and she is the heart of the family, a woman who knows exactly when to stop talking, a woman who can hold her own anywhere, any day, anytime, and most of all a woman that respects herself, has values and standards and sticks to it.

foolish pride is saying things like i dont need a man, i can take care of myself, and so on. Sure you need a man and we all know that just like a man needs a woman, and ofcourse you can take care of yourself, lets see how much longer you can take care of yourself when you are 70, single and miserable.

Don't get me wrong about independence, independence to me its knowing who i am, knowing i can take care of my own, husband, kidz and other family members included, knowing i have a family to go home to, knowing my husband loves me for me and doesn't look down on me, if you want further details check out my note about independence.

We need to seriously face the truth and stop acting up, too many black women like the man said acts like little childish girls, whining and crying every chance they get to get their way.

there is strength in submission, and foolish pride is holding your shoulders so high you can't even see whats in front of you, (like Oprah) yes i said it, i never liked her anyway. Oprah is a bad bad example of a strong black woman now Michelle Obama on the other hand is a great example of a strong black woman and so is my mother.

Let's Look up to the real strong women and emulate their ways, like the man said lets find our way back to that thrown where we belong, we are beautiful and special and we all need to start acting in that light

AMEN

disclaimer.. these are my thoughts and opinions, you do not have to agree with them, but hey that's what makes us human, we can't always agree.
